Our District History

The agency that became Exeter District Ambulance began as "Exeter Memorial Hospital" on May23, 1977 after 63% of the voters living in the 592 telephone prefix approved a 10-cent tax on each $100 of assessed property value. The district encompasses a roughly 300 sp. mile area and  extends west to Road 176, east to Road 236, north to Avenue 320 and south to Avenue 256. On December 18, 1995, after the closure of the Exeter Memorial hospital the District title was changed to its current name Exeter District Ambulance.
